This policy explains what personal data bilalkhursheed.com collects, why it is collected, and what happens to it. The site is operated by Bilal Khursheed, an independent software developer based in Islamabad, Pakistan.
What data is collected
- Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you type are sent by email so that the enquiry can be answered. Nothing else in the form is collected.
- Analytics data. This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-124EPTZQV3), which records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this.
- Server logs. The hosting provider may keep standard access logs containing IP address, timestamp and requested URL.
Why it is collected
- Contact form data is used only to reply to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to communicate about that project.
- Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and how the site performs. It is not used to identify you individually.
What is never done with your data
- Your details are never sold, rented or traded.
- You are never added to a marketing mailing list from a contact form submission.
- Your enquiry is never shared with third parties, except where required by law.
Third-party services
Two third parties may receive data as a result of your visit: Google Analytics (analytics, see Google's privacy policy) and Google Fonts, which serves the site's typefaces and therefore sees your IP address as part of that request.
How long data is kept
Contact form emails are kept for as long as the enquiry or working relationship is active, and are deleted on request. Google Analytics data is retained according to the property's configured retention period.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
